Grand Cayman's grocery landscape includes well-stocked supermarkets, specialty food stores, and weekend farmers' markets. The big three supermarket chains (Foster's, Hurley's, and Kirk Market) carry a broad mix of US and UK imports alongside local Caribbean produce, fresh seafood, and Cayman-made products like Cayman Sea Salt, Tortuga rum cakes, and locally roasted coffee. If you are used to shopping in the US or UK, you will find most familiar brands here, though prices run higher due to shipping and import duties.

Most supermarkets are along the Seven Mile Beach corridor and in George Town. Foster's has locations at the Strand, Camana Bay, and the Republix Plaza near the airport; Hurley's main store is on West Bay Road with a smaller market in Grand Harbour; Kirk Market sits just south of George Town on North Church Street. The eastern districts have smaller grocery options, including a Foster's Express in East End and a few independent markets in Bodden Town and North Side.

For specialty items, several smaller shops fill the gaps. Wine and liquor stores like Tortuga Liquor, West Indies Wine Company, and Blackbeard's carry a solid selection of wines and spirits. Health food stores and organic markets are fewer but growing; the Farmers' Market at Camana Bay (Wednesdays) and the Cayman Cabana farm stand are good bets for local produce, eggs, and artisan goods. Several supermarkets now deliver through their own platforms or third-party apps, which is useful if you are stocking a vacation rental or prefer not to haul groceries in the heat.

Shopping hours are generally Monday through Saturday, with limited Sunday hours at the larger stores. US dollars are accepted everywhere; change is usually given in CI dollars. Bring reusable bags or expect a small charge for plastic, as the island has moved to reduce single-use plastics in recent years.
