KPMG, PwC, EY, and Deloitte all keep Cayman offices sized for the island's investment fund industry rather than for a typical Main Street practice. Each carries somewhere between 150 and nearly 300 partners and staff, based mostly in Camana Bay and around George Town's Cricket Square. The work is fund audits, financial statement preparation, and regulatory compliance, not the small-business bookkeeping that usually fills out an accounting directory.

Plenty of smaller local firms and sole practitioners cover that other side: payroll, business licence renewals, monthly bookkeeping, and the occasional resident who still owes tax somewhere else. Cayman itself charges no income, capital gains, or corporate tax, so local accounting work leans toward compliance with whatever jurisdiction a client is tied to abroad, plus the statutory filings the Cayman Islands Government and CIMA require of regulated entities. A fund manager or corporate entity has usually already been assigned an auditor as part of the fund's structure; a resident or small business owner is generally better served by one of the smaller local firms than by the Big Four.
