About Cayman Kai

Cayman Kai sits at the northern edge of the island, tucked between the North Sound and the sea near Rum Point. Almost everything out here is villas, canal-front houses, and small condo groups. This is the part of Grand Cayman people rent when they want a house and a stretch of quiet water instead of a resort.

Kaibo, on the sound side, is the social centre: a beach bar and grill downstairs, a more serious restaurant upstairs, a dock that boats pull up to all afternoon. Rum Point is a few minutes away, Starfish Point a little further past it. The water on the sound side stays shallow, warm, and usually flat, good for paddleboards, small children, and anyone who'd rather skip the surf.

There's no supermarket out here. Most people stock up in George Town or Camana Bay on the way in. The drive runs around forty-five minutes; the Camana Bay ferry to Rum Point is the shortcut for a day trip rather than a week's stay.
