Visitors
The web server keeps a standard access log: IP address, time, page requested, referring page and browser string. It is used to count visitors, tell people from crawlers, and diagnose faults. Logs rotate daily and are deleted after 14 days. There are no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics scripts and no fingerprinting.
If you use the "near me" sort, your browser asks you for your location and the result stays in your browser's local storage so the page can sort by distance. It is not sent to us. Clearing site data removes it.
Business pages embed a Google map. Google sets its own cookies when that map loads; see Google's privacy policy for those.
Listing owners
Claiming a listing records your name, email address and the business you claimed, plus the edits you make to the listing. Signing in sets two cookies: a session cookie the browser cannot read from scripts, and a display cookie so the dashboard can show your name. Both expire after the session period or when you sign out.
Paid listings are billed by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe directly and never touch this server; we hold the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and the invoice status.
Outreach: we email and message business owners about the listing that already exists for their business, using contact details the business publishes. Every message says how to stop further contact, and a reply of STOP or an email to the address below ends it.
Listings
Listings are built from information a business publishes about itself (its own site, its Google Business Profile): name, address, phone, hours, photos and the aggregate Google rating. That is business information, not personal data, but a sole trader who wants a listing removed can ask and it will be taken down.
Your rights and how to reach us
Ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or for it to be corrected or deleted, by emailing [email protected]. Requests are answered within seven days. The site is operated from the Cayman Islands under the Data Protection Act (2021 Revision).
