Island Veterinary Services and Cayman Animal Hospital, both in George Town, handle most of the routine work: check-ups, vaccinations, surgery, dental care, and emergencies. Smaller practices in Savannah and Bodden Town serve those communities on the east side. Island Vet also runs an after-hours on-call service; save the number in your phone if you have a pet.
Pet Paradise in George Town and Pawfection near Seven Mile Beach are the better-stocked supply stores, carrying food, toys, bedding, and accessories in brands you'd recognise from the US or UK. Grooming happens both at vet clinics and standalone salons, and bookings fill up before holidays and through the busier tourist months. Bringing a pet in goes through the Department of Agriculture: a health certificate from your vet, proof of rabies vaccination, and sometimes a blood titer test depending on where you're coming from.
