Stingray City is the flagship activity, and most operators run half-day trips out to the sandbar where southern stingrays gather in waist-deep water. Beyond that, the lineup widens fast: sunset sailing cruises, deep-sea fishing charters, jet ski tours, kayak trips through the mangroves, and guided visits to the Crystal Caves and the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park. Horseback riding on the beach and bioluminescent bay tours run seasonally or by arrangement.
Most operators work out of Seven Mile Beach, George Town, and the North Sound marinas, where the boat excursions depart. East End is the starting point instead for the Mastic Trail, the blowholes, and a handful of fishing charters. Hotel pickup is common, which saves the hassle of getting yourself to the departure point.
Book ahead for peak season, December through April, and around major holidays. Prices are usually listed in US dollars. Excursions are weather dependent, and operators will reschedule or refund a trip if conditions turn unsafe; the North Sound tends to stay calm, but the east and north sides can get choppy, so take precautions if you're prone to seasickness. Most operators bring water and sometimes snacks, but check what's included before you book.
