Who runs it
CaymanFinder was started in 2026 by Matt Jennings, who builds websites for small businesses through Grow My Small Business. There is no office and no sales team; the site is run from George Town with the help of a lot of scripts. Email [email protected] and you get Matt.
Where the information comes from
Each listing starts from the business's own published details and its Google Business Profile: hours, phone, address, photos and the aggregate rating with its review count. Listings are matched to a Google place record before they go live, and a business that Google marks as closed is shown as closed, then removed once a second source agrees. Websites are checked weekly; a site that stops answering loses its link and the listing says so.
Hours are the point of the site. They drive the open now, open Sunday, open late and public holiday pages, and the data reports are computed from them at each build. Public holidays and weather closures are not posted anywhere central, so call ahead for a long drive.
Claiming a listing
Owners claim their listing free, confirm by email, and can then edit hours, description, photos and contact details themselves. Paid plans exist (pricing) and buy placement, not ratings: a rating on this site is Google's, never ours, and it cannot be bought or edited.
Calculators and guides
The calculators (stamp duty, import duty, work permit fees, take-home pay, pension, overtime, tipping, currency) cite the regulation each one is built on and carry the date it was last checked. The guides are written on the island for visitors and people moving here.
Corrections
If a listing is wrong, email the slug or the business name and what is wrong. Owner corrections through the claim form are live within minutes; everything else is usually fixed the same day.
