About Camana Bay

Camana Bay is a purpose-built town centre between George Town and Seven Mile Beach, developed by Dart and opened in stages from 2007. It reads differently from the rest of the island: a planned grid of paseos and squares with shops and restaurants at street level, offices above, and a waterfront on the North Sound at the far end. For a lot of residents it has become the default place to meet.

The Crescent holds most of the restaurants and cafes, along with the cinema, a bookshop and a supermarket. The Observation Tower at the centre is free to climb and gives you the best easy view on the island, from Seven Mile Beach across to the North Sound. The Wednesday farmers and artisans market runs in the afternoon and is worth timing a visit around. Cayman International School and a cluster of professional offices keep the place busy on weekdays.

Parking is free and plentiful in the garages, which is not true of George Town, and the whole centre is walkable and stroller-friendly. It is a five-minute drive from most of Seven Mile Beach and about ten minutes from the airport.
